Character design and Deconstructionism 2022

During work experience with Daniel Spencer of studio bake and formally curveball media I was tasked to design and create concept arc of free archetypes found within the business world for Daniels card game that he utilises to develop clients brand identities.

Each card had to fit in a certain characteristic both negative and positive that clients could identify with Daniel wanted me to create icons and caricatures of individuals that represent those ideas and combine them into a slick minimalistic design. I was heavily inspired by negative space art and the concept of deconstructionism limiting the characters to a set amount of lines and prioritising line flow and use of negative space over character detail.

Peter Peterson- the positive someone who presents the image of the company as professional and high class, the negative this could come off as highbrow or self-centred isolating some of your clientele from your services.

Eda.P.Uzzile- the positive a problem solver who can find any solution to any problem the negative may come off as cold or closed off denying anyone else to input into the creative problem-solving.

Novaturient Adus- the positive someone with a passionate and fiery attitude the negative overly emotional not listening to clientele or team.
