According to folklore, the 'Bungay Black Dog' prowls along dark lanes and lonesome field footpaths of The Suffolk Coast, where, although his howling makes the hearer's blood run cold, his footfalls make no sound. A monster from hell who return every in the form of the Bungay local Black Shuck Festival. Quercus designed and created a live hand puppet of this figure of folklore, the puppet itself taking the for of a medieval style with layerd ruffles, recycled cardboard fur and glowing red eyes . the puppet was preformed in the Festival by founder of Quercus Freya Oakes.
